الأمم المتحدة: الطريقة الوحيدة لإزالة المخاطر النووية تتمثل في القضاء التام على الأسلحة النووية
قال الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، يوم الجمعة في آخر فعالية رئيسية رفيعة المستوى على هامش المناقشة العامة للجمعية العامّة، إن إزالة الأسلحة النووية أمر حيوي "لبقاء الحياة على هذا الكوكب".
وأبلغ الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، أنطونيو غوتيريش، الوفود المشاركة في إحياء اليوم الدولي للإزالة الكاملة للأسلحة النووية، أن الطريقة الوحيدة لإزالة المخاطر النووية هي عبر القضاء على الأسلحة النووية بشكل كامل.
وعلى الرغم من أن نزع السلاح النووي كان من أولويات الأمم المتحدة منذ تأسيسها قبل 75 عاما، فقد ذكّر الاجتماع بأن "العالم لا يزال يعيش في ظل كارثة نووية".
